New year, new buddies! One of our favorite traditions at RES is Buddy Day! Our Grade 3-5 classes pair up with a “buddy” PreK-2 class and get together for a special activity! We work to build relationships throughout our building and build our school community! Learning is always better with a “buddy!” 🐾

Good Morning RES families. Bus 7 is running late this morning and will be at least 20 minutes late. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience.

Mrs. McFayden’s Pre-K4 class had so much fun playing in centers this week!

Friday, September 19: Caroline County Public Schools will be operating on a two hour delay due to fog in parts of the county. Please be safe in your travels.

We had our first two student hit the Impossible Shot so far in PE. Congratulations to Porter Rostien (3rd grade) and Grace Neilson (5th grade)! In order to be selected for an opportunity to try the Impossible Shot, students must be following all class expectations, on task, and putting their best foot forward each time. Who will make it next?!

Good Morning RES families,
Bus 7 will be running 15-20 minutes late this morning due to an earlier issue. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience.
Thanks
Mr. Evans

Pre-K enjoyed their first class in the gym with Mr. Hester. This week they focused on listening, animal movements, and even had a chance to use the magic scarves.

Good Morning RES Families,
Just a friendly reminder for car rider drop off to ensure the safety of students and families, please make sure that we are not stopping between the two RES signs on Central Ave as you approach Seward Rd. When cars stop between these signs, it makes it difficult for cars and buses to pull out from the stop sign safely. Please be considerate of the other families and avoid stopping between those two signs. Have a great day!
Thanks
Mr. Evans

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom we had fun in our classroom! After reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, students in Mrs Pearson and Mrs Eckrich's class completed STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) projects! How many letters can fit on your alphabet tree?

Students tried out the Pipeline Challenge in P.E. class this week. The challenge requires students to work together to transport various objects from one bucket to another. With each level completed the following level increases in difficulty. If the object they are transferring hits the ground, they all had to start again. There were MANY drops which was to be expected as the game is not easy. It lead to a great discussion about not giving up when something gets difficult and overcoming new challenges when they arise is school and in life.
